The incunbent clear coat screen technology that the UN40EH6000 contains is one of our favorites for 2012.
Samsung 40" UN40EH5000
The 40ES5000 is Samsung's lowest end line in the larger size LED backlit LCD TVs for 2012. It still has very nice appearance with a thin black bezel frame and 2" depth.
Samsung 40" UN40EH5300
Value is one of the primary goals of this very affordable series from Samsung. The UN40EH5300 will present lots of it with the full Smart TV Internet features and built in Wifi, and built in Web Browser that Samsung provides in 2012.
Samsung 40" LN40E550
Color presentation is somewhat washed out and blacks are not as super strong, however the picture presentation during fast action scenes is smooth and stable, which is a big plus in this price range.
2011 Samsung Models
Samsung 40" UN40D6400
Wow is the word we used to describe the picture from this 40" TV from Samsung the UN40D6400. 3D is a feature in this TV and looks great as well as the complete Smart Hub Smart TV options and a full web browser. However, what really separates this TV from others is 2 dimensional depth perception and viewing as it creates a 3D like effect. Feature standouts are all over the place and there are tons of little Apps to play with in the Smart TV section.
Samsung 40" UN40D6300
The D6300 series has all the featurs of the D6000 series but all Samsung's new Allshare feature for streaming media over your home network and compaible devices. This competitively priced LED backlit LCD provides good value. See the full review and video review of the UN40D6300
Samsung 40" UN40D6000
The 40" Samsung UN40D6000 is an LED backlit LCD TV with a narrow black frame of over an inch, with a beautiful acrylic trim. This LED offering is very competitively priced and we really like it from a value standpoint, giving it an 8.5 on our 10 point scale. All in all, the features set is complete with the exception of an included Wifi Dongle. The TV is Wifi ready, but Samsung sells the USB Wifi dongle for $79, while many manufacturers either include Wifi in the TV or include the Wifi dongle in the box. Samsung 40" UN40D5500
The D5500 line of LED TVs represents a smaller sized, lower priced option perfect for bedrooms or dorm rooms. We were highly impressed with the 6 series ast year and expect this year to be the same.
