Sharp 4K LED backlit LED TV Review 55", 60"

This amazing 4K ICC (Integrated Cognitive Creation) LED TV introduction from Sharp for 2012 will supposedly ship sometime in 2012. Though we have our doubts about that, we will say that it is an impressive display with the next to the highest resolution we have seen. The highest belongs to a Sharp prototype in the same exhibit and has 8K resolution of 7680 X 4320. The technology for the TV was developed in conjunction with an outside firm.

Picture Quality

The picture quality on this TV is magnificent – more for the definition than for color. The depth and realism of the picture is what Sharp and other 4K TV manufacturers are going for. As we spoke with Sharp representatives at CES 2012, Sharp made it clear that what they are going for is total up-conversion and up-scaling of a 1080p picture to the 4K format TV. The reason for this is the realistic picture created by the TV which Sharp states they want to resemble real like. We agree that this 4K TV achieved that and created a picture that presented such fine definition that it actually looked better than my aging eyes would see outside in nature.

The TV is expected to ship in late 2012 in a 55" to 60" size.
