Sony HX LED TVs focus on Full Array Local Dimming in high end HX line
Will likely continue in 2012

Sony introduced local-dimming LED backlighting to the world with its KDL-XBR8 a couple years ago and we were impressed by the results over edge-lit LED backlighting. One of the issues with that TV was the 5 inch plus depth to allow for the true LED backlighting. This year Sony came out with the HX929 series (XBR-55HX929) LED Televisions which focuses on true full array local dimming backlighting and ultra fast processing called MotionFlow. These two features will likely continue to be focul points of 2012 high end Sony TVs as the results from the HX929, which will stay in production until August or September of 2012, have been exceptionally well received by the marketplace.
