The FX5 series, like the higher end FX5LS series, draws it's name from the Five Times Film processing that shows each frame of 24 frame per second film 5 times for smooth motion that doesn't require 3:2 pulldown like a 60Hz television would. These smaller, traditionally backlit LCDs also feature the same Frame Forward Motion technology that interpolates between two frames to smooth out motion even more. These boutique quality LCD sets may lack some of the features of other LCDs such as internet connectivity but NuVision's focus is on picture quality and delivering a superior viewing experience.
